Brix 21 Session

I had an amazing session a few weeks back and I just had to blog about it.  This group is really more of a family, not just friends.  The ladies in the group were college friends and have remained close ever since.  They spend holidays together, and have an insane amount of fun!  They treated me to an amazing photo session AND a delicious glass of wine.  We tromped through the vineyard to get these photos.  It was a touch chilly, but the kids were troopers and rallied through!  I have a special place in my heart for the family on top!  They were the VERY first family I photographed and have continued to come back to me as I have been on my photography journey.  They never waived in their support or confidence in my work.  It means a lot that even though I may not have been the best 2 years ago, they continued to believe in me and come back to me for their pictures.  I have taken their family pictures twice, newborn pictures, birthday pictures, a smash cake session and their March Of Dimes pictures.  Thank you Kaminkse's for being such a loyal family.  Here's to capturing many more years for you!!

Will anyone read this?

That's my fear, my ultimate question...will anyone read this?  Does anyone care? I guess if you're my parents, you will, I mean, you're kind of obligated right?  My plan is to write this to connect the world with little ol' me.  I don't lead a super exciting life, but I have two boys that keep me on my toes, crack me up, and will keep this blog thing alive.  Mixed with family life, I hope to blog my love for all things photography.  I hope to show you the photo magic that I hope I'm creating for people.
So, a little about me for this VERY FIRST post!  I'm 35, living in Erie, Pa.  I'm originally from Iowa, no, I did not grow up on a farm, yes, it's corn, NOT potatoes!  Get it right people!  I moved to Texas to teach in 2003 and met my hub.  He was from Erie, so here we are.  I have two boys, Bryson who is 5 and just started Kindergarten.  He's super sweet and sensitive and Memphis who is 3 and who will be 4 next month.  He is HYSTERICAL and he knows it which is 100% of the reason for me being crazy.  He keeps me on my toes, battles me on everything, can't listen if his life depended on it and is as loving as can be.  My hubby is a hardworking man.  He has 3 jobs on top of being an amazing husband and father.  I'm a childcare director by day and a mom and photographer by night.  Well the mom part is ALL of the time, but you get the picture.
So, that's pretty much it, that sums me up.  I hope you join me on the blog and keep up with the what I hope to be AT LEAST weekly life of KBP and see what we're all about.
